Amazon is building a new Walmart

Here’s what we know. 👇

Amazon’s new 225,000 sq ft store isn’t news.

At least it’s not NEW news.

But Business Insider has done some snooping.

Like some CIA level mole-on-the-inside stuff.

They say they’ve got some informants at Amazon.

(Let’s just hope they don’t get Clintoned tomorrow.)

Here’s what Business Insider dug up:

First, Amazon this project labeled is “Project Kobe.”

👉 LeBron is going to be pissed when he finds out.

Second, this store will have a revolutionary format:

𝟭. 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆.

- Potentially the first store designed “delivery first”.

- Automations and design efficiencies for rapid delivery.

𝟮. 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻.

- Not just for delivery.

- Restocking, cleaning, pricing,”endless aisle”.

𝟯. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁.

- This is not a dog and pony.

- The idea is scale.

𝟰. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗮 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿.

- 225K sq ft, and rumors have swirled around club.

- Apparently, this will be more of a hyperstore.

Now, cue chorus of “Amazon Will never make it.”

Comments from my last post on this topic:

𝘎𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘭𝘶𝘤𝘬 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 6,000 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦.

𝘈𝘮𝘢𝘻𝘰𝘯 𝘤𝘢𝘯’𝘵 𝘢𝘧𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴.

WelI like math. ✔️

One Walmart Supercenter costs $15-20M.

Now assume it would be $30M for Amazon, 2x.

Thats $30 Billy for 1,000 Kobe stores.

𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘈𝘮𝘢𝘻𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘯 $93𝘉 𝘪𝘯 𝘤𝘢𝘴𝘩.

Don’t forget, Amazon just launched 1-hour delivery.

And that is without any of these stores.

They really don’t need 6,000 stores.

They don’t need 1000 overnight.

𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘨𝘢𝘮𝘦.

I’ve always said, when the time is right…

👉 Everyone needs a Walmart and an Amazon strategy.

Both are a big part of your future.

Now who is the greatest of all time?

LeBron, Jordan, Hakeem, or Kobe?
