Here’s why Walmart doesn’t open new stores 👇

Yes, Walmart is the beast of traditional retail.

But Aldi, BJ’s, Kroger, and Costco are growing faster.

Heck, even Target will open more doors this year.

Walmart will open 20 new doors over the next 2 years.

That’s a paltry 0.2% growth per year.

Do you even grow bro?

Let’s look at this through another lens.

Let’s look at Walmart growth through digital:

- 24% global ecommerce growth (Q4 FY2026)

- 27% U.S. ecommerce growth (Q4 FY2026)

- 8 straight quarters of 20%+ ecom growth.

- 50%+ growth in <3-hour delivery orders.

- 70% growth in store-fulfilled delivery (Q3, 2025.)

- 23% of total sales from ecommerce.

Maybe let that last line sink in.

Nearly 1/4 of Walmart sales originate online now.

And ecom sales are still showing double-digit growth.

I mean, where would you invest?

Walmart is one of the World’s biggest data companies.

And Walmart says the future of fulfillment is digital.

Who am I to argue?

So have you tried Walmart Plus for delivery?

What do you think of it?
